Lappartient will have a second four-year term as top man at UCI as Management Committee candidates announced

Current UCI President David Lappartient will be sworn in for a second four-year term without an election as no other candidates were submitted for the role.

Lappartient, who was elected by a landslide in 2017 ending Brian Cookson's spell in charge, had a few key ambitions including improving women's racing, cracking down on motor doping and modernising the World Championships. Take a look at his initial manifesto and decide whether he's been a success.

While the Frenchman went unchallenged, candidates for the UCI Manangement Committee have been announced, with the election at UCI Congress in Leuven this September to decide on one member from the African, American, Asian and Oceanic confederations as well as seven from Europe.

Four female candidates are up for election from Bolivia, Italy, Poland and Australia, and with the European selection required to include at least two women, Daniela Isetti and Agata Lang are guaranteed to have a spot on the committee.

Among the other candidates is Bob Stapleton, former owner of Mark Cavendish's HTC-Highroad team and manager of its previous T-Mobile incarnation following the Operación Puerto scandal that implicated several members of the team including Jan Ullrich.
