WorldTour team bikes 2022: Cyclist’s complete guide
With the season now in full swing and boring Grand Tour stages back in abundance, why not use the five hours of futile breakaway attempts on sprint stages to remind ourselves of the bikes set to be used during the 2022 season.
Last year saw Specialized take the title for most successful brand at Grand Tours, though it was helped by sponsoring two teams, while Jumbo-Visma’s Cervélos were not far behind.
The annual merry-go-round of bike sponsorship was quieter than usual this off-season with Team BikeExchange-Jayco’s switch to Giant and Liv bikes after a fleeting year with Bianchi the only major move.
There are, however, several new women’s WorldTour teams, so more opportunities for sponsors without a presence to get involved in a huge year for women’s cycling what with the first Tour de France Femmes.
Below we take a closer look at the 2022 bikes and components of the men’s and women’s WorldTour.
